Cx100 Sony's HD Camcorder
The CX100 is a nifty and competent little camera. It fits into the palm of your hand, and is very well suited to drop into your coat pocket.
I have been playing around with the CX100, Sony's lates memory Stick camcorder. It really, really hard to belive that this thing can produce such great video. The machine is super tiny. Fits right into the palm of my hand. So I will give you my "palms on" review of the CX100 HD camera as I am a customer.
We have to applaud Sony rather than boosting the features of the previous generation Sony HDR-CX12 Memory Stick PRO Duo camcorder, Sony decided to trim its new camera down to the point its the size of a mini submarine sandwich in your hand. Thanks to Sony for this.
The Sony HDR-CX100 looks just as appealing as a sub sandwich with its red, silver and black color schemes, and brags about a full 1920 x 1080 High-Definition recording.
Palm Sized
As a sacrificial sacrifice to the god of small gadgets, the CX100 is loaded with easy to use features, and we found that what ever medium that you plan to download your video or photos onto its almost as easy as pushing a button. Mac users will be plesently supprised as well, Sony did not forget you and has supplied ample instructions to us the Mac pc as an effective download medium for the CX100.Bonuses are a touch-screen LCD, 4-megapixel still capability, Smile Shutter, Face Detection and a 10x optical zoom. We still couldn't believe how miniscule these little Memory Stick cams were in our hands. It was like the been in Jacks Giants hand. Plus the HD Video pleasure is sharp and top of the line. The camcorder features a 2.4-megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor. The size of the sensor is about 1/5 inch. The camcorder sports an f1.8-2.2 42 #8211; 497mm lens with a 10X zoom and an aspect ratio of 16: 9. In terms of the screen size, the camcorder sports an LCD screen that is about 2.7 inches big and has a touch interface. The camcorder offers an in built flash memory of 8 GB and can be expanded using the Memory Stick Pro Duo. In terms of audio, the camcorder offers 2 channels and the maximum bit rate offered by the device is 16Mbps.
The camcorder is very easy to operate.
It houses a mini-HDMI port, a proprietary AV connector and USB connectors on its outer body. It is quite surprising that the camcorder doesn’t feature any microphone or headphone jacks. The lens cover of the device is also not automatic but is manual. The LCD screen is great and responsive to touch. It is extremely easy to view even under direct sunlight and is resistant toward fingerprints. The navigation interface of the device is pretty user friendly. Thecamcorder offers all essential features of a standard camcorder including Smile Shutter, scene modes, and face detection. At maximum resolution, you can shoot for about 9 hours and 30 minutes on the hard drive of the camcorder. If you are a budget conscious user who wants to buy a good HD camcorder, the Handycam Is a great opportunity to purchase a good camera at a low price, with a super high quality image.
